Canon of Beauty

The body has for a long time been faced with aesthetic criteria which are constantly evolving, with regard to the image of the human species which oscillates tirelessly between instinct and intellect, from the canons of Greek beauty to representations of mutant bodies, the fruits of aesthetic-plastic operations that can be encounter today in contemporary art.

This project aims to question the canons of beauty.
Through two eras, I confront the renaissance through paintings and today through Instagram posts.
I chose to use two different printing techniques
(Laser and Risography). This allows me to highlight the duality of the two periods.
